The Institute for Evolutionary Biology (IBE) is a joint institute between the University Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The IBE is also part of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park (PRBB), a research hub hosting seven independent research institutes and shared scientific platforms and services.

The lab is currently located at the CMIMA. In 2026, we will moving to the new IBE building at the Mercat del Peix, a brand new hub of research buildings 500 meters away from our current location.
